Here’s a great opportunity for MTSU students to save money and study abroad: In recognition of National Passport Day, students can get scholarships of $100 each to defray the total $150 passport cost.
That means students will only pay $50 each for one of the necessities of participating in study-abroad courses offered at MTSU.
Students will be selected through an application process. Applications may be picked up at the Office of Education Abroad, which is located in Room 207 of Peck Hall.
Each student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in order to be eligible.
The application deadline is Friday, Feb 8. Completed applications must be submitted at the Office of Education Abroad or Room 205 of the Paul W. Martin Honors Building.
The passport office will come to campus to process the passport applications for the students who are selected.
National Passport Day is conducted by the U.S. Department of State to encourage Americans to apply for their first passports or renew their current ones.
