Individual tickets for the second MTSU Veteran Impact Celebration are now on sale through the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center.
The Veteran Impact Celebration, which will feature the country music legend Daniels, will be held Thursday, June 27, at The Grove at Williamson Place, 3250 Wilkinson Place. The site is just off Medical Center Parkway near Exit 76 on Interstate 24 in Murfreesboro.
The event is a salute to MTSU student veterans and their families and serves as a fundraiser for the center’s Veterans Transitioning Home Office, which helps student veterans move from campus to careers.
“We had so many of our alumni and community that wanted to be a part of last year’s special night (that) we decided to offer individual tickets for sale for this year’s celebration,” said Shane Smith, assistant director of the Daniels Center.
“We will be showing the impact of student veterans on the campus of MTSU, plus having great food, drinks and entertainment by Mr. Charlie Daniels.”
Individual tickets are $200, and a two-ticket combo is available for $300. You can buy tickets, which are limited, at www.mtsu.edu/veteranimpact.
Smith said full and half-tables are also available for companies and people to buy.
At the inaugural event in 2018, supporters raised more than $170,000 for the Veterans Center, Smith said., including a $100,000 donation from Daniels’ Journey Home Project.
The Daniels Center assists current military members, veterans and their family members with the switch from military to college, then from college to career. The center, which is the largest and most comprehensive veterans facility on any Tennessee higher education campus, currently serves an average of 1,000 veterans and family members.
The Daniels Center is located in Keathley University Center Rooms 124 and 316. For more information, call 615-904-8347 or visit www.mtsu.edu/military.
