MTSU’s Arik to share expertise at the Invest: Nashville Leadership Summit panel on March 5

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University management professor Murat Arik will share his insights about the Midstate economy as part of a panel at the Invest: Nashville 4th Edition Leadership Summit set for Thursday, March 5, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

The event, themed “Building Tennessee: Transformation from the ground up,” will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at Bridgestone. Ticket and registration information can be found at https://bit.ly/3OILIGg.

Organized by integrated media company Capital Analytics Associates, or caa, the summit will bring together hundreds of Nashville’s business and regional leaders from real estate, health care, education, infrastructure, utilities, and finance to examine the forces shaping Nashville’s growth and discuss the challenges and opportunities for businesses and investors.

Arik, director of MTSU’s Business and Economic Research Center within the Jones College of Business, will participate in a panel titled “Healing Grounds” that will discuss how health care and education campus developments are driving real estate growth and how the wider community benefits from these projects.

Arik, also holder of the Jennings and Rebecca Jones Chair of Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning, will be joined on the panel by Blake Bratcher, partner and executive vice president for Flagship Healthcare Properties, John Cunningham, director of healthcare partnership solutions at Nashville State Community College, and Harry Allen, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Belmont University.

Panel presenter will be Paul Allen, president and CEO of Wealth Strategies Partners, while Clifton Harris, president and CEO of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee, will serve as moderator.

Other panels include a look at how mobility and infrastructure are unlocking new opportunities, while the final panel will explore how the rapidly changing economy is reshaping the Nashville real estate market and what priorities can ensure long-term success.

The summit marks the official release of Invest: Nashville 4th Edition, caa’s in-depth economic review of the region. This year’s magazine, which will be unveiled at Thursday’s event, features MTSU, specifically research and activities within the Jones College of Business and College of Basic and Applied Sciences.
