MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Music, theater and dance will take center stage at Middle Tennessee State University for the annual MTSU Arts Celebration Concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in Tucker Theatre on campus.

“The Celebration Concert showcases performers who are serious about their craft and productions that meet professional standards,” said College of Liberal Arts Dean Leah Tolbert Lyons.
The free event brings together students and faculty from the School of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance for an evening of live performance, with special guest host Daniel Berryman.
Berryman — a New York-based performer with credits in Broadway, national tours, and regional theater — will take the helm of the evening that features music, musical theater selections and original dance choreography performed by MTSU students.

No tickets are required and the public is invited to attend free of charge.
The event also includes induction of this year’s MTSU Arts Hall of Fame honorees: John Duke, professor emeritus of music, and James Gibson, professor emeritus of art.
“From staging to musicianship to choreography, this event reflects the level of excellence our students bring to every performance, and we are excited to share that with the community,” Lyons said.

Tucker Theatre is located at 1439 Faulkinberry Drive. Parking is free, and a downloadable campus map is available at bit.ly/2026MTSUparkingmap.
