Campus School students give veterans big ‘thank you’ in special program

Homer Pittard Campus School students celebrated Veterans Day one day early.

Administrators at the Rutherford County school held a special program in the school’s gymnasium Nov. 10 to honor veterans.

The event gave students the opportunity to meet and talk to vets. The school’s choir also performed patriotic songs.

Campus School officials say they hope this becomes an annual tradition each November.

Located on Lytle Street just west of the MTSU campus, the longtime teaching laboratory school is owned by Middle Tennessee State University and jointly operated by MTSU and Rutherford County Schools.
