Comedian/actor/writer/entrepreneur Chris Hardwick, aka “The Nerdist,” entertained MTSU students at Murphy Center Aug. 28 during a special “Week of Welcome” performance celebrating the new academic year. In addition to interviewing several students during his performance, Hardwick sent out an Instagram video of the MTSU crowd.

In 2008, Hardwick founded Nerdist Industries, a website and podcast devoted to all things nerd-related. He’s since expanded his empire into a premium-content YouTube channel and cable talk shows: the TV version of “The Nerdist” podcast on BBC America and “Talking Dead” and “Talking Bad” on AMC, respectively.
