Murfreesboro area residents who attended a recent informational workshop organized by MTSU’s University College are a step closer to finishing their degree.

Future MTSU students gathered at the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce for a Finish Your Degree Q&A event targeting working adults and the first in a series of such events the college plans to hold in the upcoming months.

At the April 13 event, working adults could talk to MTSU degree counselors, advisers and representatives from admissions about getting readmitted, registered for classes, and what options are available to them so they can finish faster and get a degree that will advance their careers.

“The event was just what I needed,” said Cody Easley, a Murfreesboro resident. “I’ve been hitting a lot of walls and I was able to get answers about my specific situation, and I left feeling really encouraged.”

Easley said he is in the final stages of the application process and plans to enroll as soon as possible.

MTSU will be in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on May 18 and in Lebanon and Mt. Juliet this summer. Further details on those Finish Your Degree Q&A events will be announced soon.

MTSU offers the largest adult degree completion program in the state of Tennessee. If you’ve thought about finishing what you started and are looking to earn your degree, visit MTSU.edu/FinishNow.
