Japanese fashion designer Sebastian Masuda delivered a special lecture to an MTSU audience at the Business and Aerospace Building’s State Farm Room March 4, 2014.
Masuda is considered “The King of Harajuku,” a popular shopping and entertainment district for teenagers and younger Japanese. His merchandizing store line, 6% DokiDoki, combines pop culture and fashion in a clothing line that includes competitions.
Masuda’s fashion line first began with accessories and furniture but quickly expanded to clothing.

The lecture was sponsored by the Consulate-General of Japan and MTSU’s Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
