Middle Tennessee State University will be closed Monday, May 29, for the 2023 Memorial Day holiday. All offices will be closed and no summer term classes will be held.
The university will reopen and classes will resume, Tuesday, May 30.
During the holiday weekend, the James E. Walker Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 27, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 28, but closed Monday.
The Health, Wellness and Recreation Center will be closed May 27-29.

During the holiday weekend, Hilary Miller, director of the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, is inviting the public and campus community to visit the MTSU Veterans Memorial, adjacent to the Tom H. Jackson Building, 628 Alma Mater Drive.
“You are welcome to leave flowers, note cards and small flags,” Miller said.
She welcomes them to also visit the Daniels Center’s virtual site and the Roll of Honor.
“If you knew any of our fallen and would like to send pictures or stories to update their bios, please send to me,” Miller added.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday for honoring and mourning U.S. military personnel who have died in the line of duty in service to their country and is observed annually on the last Monday of May.
