MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — As Middle Tennessee State University students prepare for job interviews and career fairs after securing or on their way to securing their degrees, the Career Closet literally has them covered.
A part of MTSU’s Career Development Center located in Room 327 of the Keathley University Center, the Career Closet provides clean, professional clothing for students at no cost.

The closet, which has grown increasingly popular and now needs replenishing, is accepting donations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Donations are accepted year-round, but due to high demand, the closet needs donations to help students through the end of the spring semester.

“The Career Closet is important because it allows students to have access to professional clothes for free,” said Beka Moore, director of the Career Development Center. “We want students to be able to present themselves as professionals.”
All clothing items must be business appropriate, clean and pressed.
High-need items include women’s blazers and blouses (sizes 6-18) and men’s jackets and pants (medium and large).
The Career Closet has been operating since 2013 to provide students with business attire to get them started. For more information about the Career Closet, visit the webpage or contact Kim Collins at kim.collins@mtsu.edu or call 615-898-5467.
