MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Business offices will be closed during this time and campus services will be very limited.

MTSU will reopen Monday, Jan. 5, with offices and departments open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Undergraduate and graduate students taking online Winter Session classes from Monday, Dec. 22, to Thursday, Jan. 15, will follow their faculty members’ daily guidelines. There will be no Winter Session classes Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24-25, and Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1-2, for the two holidays.

MTSU spring semester classes will begin Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Holiday hours of operation for some buildings, including:

• Student Union — open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22-23; and closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4.

• James E. Walker Library — open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22-23; and closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 4, reopening at 8 a.m. Jan. 5. Services available during this time include electronic books, articles and streaming videos available 24/7 and Ask Us!

• Campus Recreation Center — closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2. For complete Winter Break center hours, visit https://www.mtsu.edu/camprec/hours/.

• Student Health Services — open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22-23; and closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 4.

• MTSU Campus Pharmacy — open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 22-23, with drive-thru open until 4:30 p.m. both days; and closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 4. The pharmacy closes from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

•  MT One Stop — open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22-23 and closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 4. The MT One Stop Call Center, accessible by calling 615-898-2111 (option 1), will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1-2, but otherwise available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to speak to a live agent.

• The Information Technology Division, or ITD, Help Desk, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22-23; closed Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24-25; Phone or email support only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, through Wednesday, Dec. 31, via email at help@mtsu.edu or call 615-898-5345; closed Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1-2, resuming normal hours from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3.
