The May 2018 edition of the “Out of the Blue” television magazine show from Middle Tennessee State University, available to watch above, features conversations about the men’s basketball program with its new coach, faculty research on media depictions of breastfeeding, and how an MTSU department is meeting Nashville’s needs as a new fashion leader with:
• New MTSU men’s basketball head coach Nick McDevitt, who discusses his new challenge as the 20th leader of the on-court Blue Raiders.
• School of Journalism professor Katie Foss, who explains her research into media’s characterizations of one of life’s most natural acts — breastfeeding.
• Department of Human Sciences professor Rick Cottle, who discusses Nashville’s growth as a fashion-industry leader and how his department’s Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising programs are helping MTSU students step out onto the runways with their work.
