MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In the November episode of “Out of the Blue,” the television program for Middle Tennessee State University, viewers are taken inside the Student Union Building, a central gathering place for campus life.

This episode highlights the various resources available for students, including the myriad ways involvement, belonging, and community are encouraged across the True Blue campus.
This month’s guests were interviewed by program host Andrew Oppmann, vice president of the Division of Marketing and Communications, inside the Student Union on the east side of campus.
November’s guests include:


• Danny Kelley, interim vice president of Student Affairs, and Justin Reed, director of Student Engagement and Leadership, share insights on the Student Union and the many opportunities available for students to get involved on campus.
The segment highlights how the Student Union serves as a central hub for connection, programming, and community-building, helping students find their place and thrive at MTSU.

• Karli Sutton, reporter for True Blue TV, shares a special feature on the Parent and Family Association and the meaningful role families play in the student experience.
The package highlights stories of MTSU faculty, staff, and alumni whose children are now attending the university, showcasing the pride and connection that continues across generations.

• Tyler Adkins, assistant director of Student Programming and Raider Entertainment, better known as SPARE, offers an inside look at the exciting events and activities that bring the university to life throughout the year.
Adkins highlights concerts, late-night programs, and student-led entertainment opportunities that make the MTSU student experience memorable and engaging.
