Students, faculty on spring break March 10-15; MTSU offices open

MTSU students and faculty will be on spring break Monday through Saturday, March 10-15, said Dr. John Omachonu, vice provost for academic affairs.

Classes will resume Monday, March 17. Students who have Saturday classes are expected to attend their March 8 classes, Omachonu added.

MTSU will be open March 10-14. All university business offices and academic departments will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day.

Daily campus tours will be held at 10 a.m. only and begin in the new Student Services and Admissions Center and MT One Stop on Blue Raider Drive across from the Student Union. For information, visit www.mtsu.edu/schedule-a-visit/index.php or call 615-898-5670.

The Student Union will be closed Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9 and also Saturday, March 15. It will be open the following hours next week: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 10; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 11-14; and open from 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday, March 16.

Phillips Bookstore, located in the Student Union, will be open the following hours next week: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 10; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 11-14. It will be closed March 15-16.

The Campus Recreation Center will be closed March 8-15. It will reopen at 2 p.m. March 16.

Health Services and Campus Pharmacy, both located in the Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center, will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 10-14. The pharmacy’s drive-thru will be open to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Hours of operation for the James E. Walker Library: open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 8; closed March 9 and March 15; open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 10-14; and open from 1 p.m. March 16 to 2 a.m. March 17.
