“We are excited to welcome our new students and their families to campus,” said Hilary Miller, center director. “This is such a wonderful event. We get to meet, eat good barbecue and ensure everyone starts off on the right foot. The Daniels Center is all about military-connected students’ academic success.”

Miller and her staff are targeting new-to-MTSU student veterans and family members, but it is open to all student veterans and their families, she said.

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Keith M. Huber, senior adviser for veterans and leadership initiatives, will speak during the event.

MTSU’s fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 22.
