WMOT-FM, Middle Tennessee Public Radio, is in the midst of its fall on-air fundraising drive and has three great sweepstakes opportunities for supporters.
Housed in MTSU’s Center for Innovation in Media inside the Bragg Communication Building and broadcasting at 89.5 FM and online at www.wmot.org, the radio station is offering chances to win:
• a pair of tickets to four Murfreesboro Symphony concerts, plus a one-night stay at Embassy Suites Murfreesboro, for all pledges made by midnight Friday, Oct. 12;
• a pair of tickets to all three shows of the Jazz Artist Series at MTSU, an MTSU Jazz Faculty CD Package and the Murfreesboro Symphony package above, for all pledges made by midnight Monday, Oct. 15; and
• a pair of tickets to six Nashville Symphony concerts, as well as the other two ticket packages, for all pledges made by midnight Thursday, Oct. 18.
Anyone who has donated to WMOT in the past 12 months is invited to enter any of these drawings, too. Previous donors can notify the station at 615-898-2800 or ben.scheffler@mtsu.edu that their names should be added to the sweepstakes drawings. No gift is necessary to enter the sweepstakes.
WMOT also has partnered with MTSU’s honey producers to offer a half-pound jar of MTSU honey to anyone who makes a pledge. Callers can mention “MTSU Honey” or note it in the comments section of the online pledge form at www.wmot.org when making a pledge.
WMOT’s updated programming schedule is in full swing along with MTSU’s fall 2012 semester. In addition to “The Takeaway,” listeners can now also hear National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition” weekdays beginning at 7 a.m.
You can learn more about MTSU’s own NPR member station — and Murfreesboro’s only radio station dedicated to arts programming — anytime at www.wmot.org.
