MTSU business research center wins national award for publication

Middle Tennessee State University’s Business and Economic Research Center was awarded the National AUBER 2023 Award of Excellence for its study on the Nashville health care industry at this fall’s annual AUBER conference in San Antonio, Texas.

The Association for University Business and Economic Research, or AUBER, issues three awards of excellence each year for print, electronic, and website publications. MTSU’s BERC received the 2023 Award of Excellence for a Print Publication for its quality, impact, visual appeal and overall impression.

Titled “Health Care Industry Nashville MSA 2023: Trends, Scope, and Impact on the Regional Economy,” the awarded study was conducted by the BERC in cooperation with the Nashville Health Care Council. It analyzes the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area’s health care industry cluster by focusing on (1) the impact of the Nashville health care cluster, (2) the impact of the Nashville Healthcare Council member companies, and (3) a comparison of the Nashville MSA with 10 peers.
