MTSU Welcomes Architectural Restoration Firm Partner for Design Lecture (VIDEO)

MTSU’s Department of Human Sciences, in partnership with Oaklands Historic House Museum, welcomed ArchitectureWorks partner Cindy Coyle Oct. 8 for a public lecture on “Rehabilitation and Restoration.”

The Student Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers/International Interior Design Association hosted Coyle for a lecture in Maney Hall at Oaklands Historic House Museum.

Coyle provided examples and case studies of her work and used several of her Birmingham, Ala.-based firm’s projects, including the 16th Street Baptist Church where four African-American girls were killed in a Sept. 15, 1963, bombing.

Coyle is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is certified by the Green Building Certification Institute as a LEED AP, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional.
