Franklin Native Drawn to MTSU’s World-Class Business School

The Jones College of Business at MTSU has a knack for developing young leaders into outstanding professionals. Luckily for them, they have an incoming freshman who is ready to hit the ground running and join those ranks.

Ben Cyphers, a graduate of Page High School in Franklin, already has his eyes set on the future. Entering with a major in Information Systems, he already plans on following that up with a Master of Business Administration degree upon graduation.Benjamin Cypher, an incoming freshman for the Class of 2024, going for a layup while playing for Page High School.

“After college, I plan on trying to create my own business or join a start-up. If those don’t work out, I know I can still find a great career with my degree.”

He definitely made a great choice. Not only is the Jones College ranked in the top 1.5% of business schools worldwide based on accreditations, LendEDU.com ranked it as the 17th best college for aspiring entrepreneurs in 2017! And the Jones College has other impressive rankings as well.

Outside of the classroom, Cyphers is heavily involved in sports. Playing football and basketball at Page after transferring from Centennial High School, in addition to coaching the sixth-grade basketball teams at Page Middle School, he enters his college career with plenty of leadership experience to aid him through his college life.

Once he gets to campus, he plans to be very involved in campus life.

“Since I played sports all through high school, I hope to play in the intramural leagues. I’d also like to join a Christian student organization, but I am still trying to figure out groups to join”

If you just graduated high school, it isn’t too late to join Ben in the Class of 2024. If you have a high school GPA of at least 3.5 and an ACT score of at least 23, you automatically qualify and will receive between $1,000 and $3,000 per year in scholarships!
