MTSU closed Sept. 3 for Labor Day holiday

MTSU will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, for the designated Labor Day holiday for students, staff and faculty. All business offices will be closed, and no classes will be held.

University business offices will resume their regular hours of operation, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 4. All classes will resume as scheduled on Sept. 4.

All Saturday, Sept. 1, classes will meet as scheduled.

The Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center will be closed Sept. 3. The Rec Center will be open limited hours on Saturday (noon until 5 p.m.) and Sunday (2 until 5 p.m.) and will reopen Tuesday at 6 a.m.

The James E. Walker Library will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and will be closed Sunday and Monday. It will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The new Student Union Building will operate on regular hours through Sunday — 6 a.m.-midnight Friday, Aug. 31; 8 a.m. -1 a.m. Saturday; and noon to midnight Sunday — but will be open only from 10 a.m. to midnight on Monday.

The computer lab in the Student Union will be open until 7 p.m. Friday, noon-7 p.m. Saturday, noon-11 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday.
