MTSU alumna and retiree Suma M. Clark will share stories and special moments featured in “Traditions of Excellence: Celebrating the Centennial of Middle Tennessee State University“ on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Linebaugh Public Library.
The 7 p.m. event in Linebaugh’s second-floor Reading Room is free and open to the public. Linebaugh Public Library is located at 105 W. Vine St. in Murfreesboro.
Clark, longtime director of the University’s Publications and Graphics Department, retired during the 2008-09 academic year after more than 30 years at MTSU. Beginning in 2006, she chaired the Centennial Book Committee, which was charged with creating a permanent pictorial keepsake of the University’s first 100 years.
The resulting 176-page, full-color hardback publication was officially unveiled at MTSU’s Centennial Blue Tie Gala on Sept. 9, 2011.
Clark will have copies of the book for sale and signing after her talk. It also coincides with Linebaugh’s special MTSU display through the month of November in the Reading Room.
