Give ‘gift of life’ today at MTSU blood drive

MTSU student Ashton Streifert, 23, gives blood Monday at the Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center during an American Red Cross blood drive. Streifert, an Atlanta native and recording industry major, said it wasn’t the first time she’d given blood, but it was “the first time in a long time.” The blood drive continues until 4 p.m. today at the Rec Center. Every two seconds someone needs blood.

What better reason to give a gift that really means a lot during this holiday season?

If you were unable to donate in the “Bleed Blue” blood drive in October, please consider donating today and showing your True Blue spirit!

The latest MTSU Blood Drive began Monday and wraps up today, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the ping-pong room of the Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center on campus

All presenting donors will receive an American Red Cross T-shirt for donating the gift of life.

For more information, call 615-898-2950.

Collected blood donations accumulate Monday inside the Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center during the first day of a two-day campus blood drive. Donors will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
