MTSU closed Sept. 2 for Labor Day holiday

MTSU will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for the designated Labor Day holiday for students, staff and faculty.

All business offices will be closed and no classes will be held.

University business offices will resume their regular hours of operation, which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 3. All fall semester classes will resume as scheduled on Sept. 3. All Saturday, Aug. 31, classes are scheduled to meet.

The Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center will be closed Monday. The Rec Center will be open limited hours on Saturday — from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. —  and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. It will reopen Tuesday at 6 a.m.

The James E. Walker Library will be closed both Sunday and Monday. Its Saturday hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Student Union will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight Friday, Aug. 30, from 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday and from noon to midnight both Sunday and Monday.

Aramark/MT Dining food availability during the holiday weekend includes McCallie Dining Hall, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. both Saturday and Monday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday; and Cyber Café and Subway, open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

In the Student Union, Blue Raider Grill will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday only. Panda Express will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, noon to 10 p.m. Sunday and noon to 8 p.m. Monday, and P.O.D. (Provisions on Demand) will be open from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from noon to 8 p.m. Monday.

All other venues will be closed from Saturday through Monday.
