WGNS features MTSU art exhibits, plug-in hybrid research, fatherly advice

MTSU faculty and staff again shared their expertise with listeners of WGNS radio during the May 19 “Action Line” program with veteran host Bart Walker.

• Drs. Charles Perry, Russell Chair of Excellence in Manufacturing in MTSU’s Department of Engineering Technology, and Andrienne Friedli, director of MTSU’s Center for Advancement of Research and Scholarship, discussed MTSU’s new partnership with two Turkish universities to develop wheel-hub motor technology created by Perry. Tom Tozer, Dads2Dads columnist, author and former MTSU media relations director, discussed the weekly Dads2Dads column that he and fellow dad and friend Bill Black, who recently retired as an associate professor at MTSU’s James E. Walker Library, started four years ago.

Their syndicated column appears in more than 30 print and online publications, and a collection of columns is now a book titled “Dads2Dads: We Survived and You Can Too — Tools for Raising Teenagers (Plus a Few Tirades).”
