Career Fair offers 1-stop shopping for business, students

Employers will have a prime opportunity to make connections with MTSU alumni and future college graduates at the MTSU Spring Career Fair, which is slated for Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Williamson County Ag Expo in Franklin.

The 10 a.m.-3 p.m. event, which will be held at 4215 Long Lane, is being offered in conjunction with the Nashville Area College Career Fairs Consortium, a cooperative effort of 13 colleges and universities, employers and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

More than 1,500 students and 200 employers are expected to be on hand at the fair, which is divided into two areas. The College to Career Fair targets business and industry, and the Teacher Recruitment Fair focuses on education. Attendees are welcome to move between the two areas, organizers say.

Since the fair is offered only for students and alumni of the consortium’s member institutions, including MTSU, a ticket is required for admission. MTSU students may obtain their free tickets in the Career Development Center in Room 328 of the Keathley University Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Only one ticket will be issued per person, and no admittance will be granted without a ticket.

Parking is free. Professional attire is required.
