MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University is gearing up for the eighth annual True Blue Give campaign, set to take place Tuesday-Thursday, Feb. 11-13. This three-day event rallies the Blue Raider community to invest in the people and programs that define the spirit of MTSU.
Throughout the campaign, MTSU encourages alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends to make online donations that directly support scholarships, student programs and key campus initiatives.
Supporting what matters most

True Blue Give raises critical funds for scholarships across all colleges and supports campuswide programs and initiatives such as MTSU Athletics, Band of Blue, the James E. Walker Library, the June Anderson Center for Women and Nontraditional Students, the Student Emergency Fund, and more.
“As True Blue Give grows, every dollar raised is a direct and immediate investment in the university’s people and programs,” said Courtney Brown, director of MTSU Annual Giving. “We’re calling on our Blue Raider faithful to participate in this tradition of gratitude and generosity. The impact of these contributions will elevate programs, support students, and propel MTSU toward new heights.”
Building on record-breaking success
Last year’s campaign set new records, raising more than $780,000 from passionate Blue Raider supporters. Highlights included:
- MTSU Athletics securing over $300,000 to support student-athletes.
- The College of Liberal Arts achieving a record-breaking $159,000 in gifts to enhance student learning and growth.
- Over $63,000 directed toward scholarships, student emergency needs, and vital programs.

Faculty and staff as ‘True Blue champions’
The True Blue Give campaign will include a special focus this year on faculty and staff contributions, offering new opportunities for MTSU employees to give back to the campus they love.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support of our faculty and staff, whom we consider ‘True Blue Give champions,'” said Johari Hamilton, MTSU donor relations coordinator. “They know the value of investing in the future and have helped us continue the tradition of philanthropy by giving back to our beloved university.”
Voices of True Blue Impact
This year’s campaign features an impactful “Because of You” video testimonial from MTSU leaders and students, including: Khalilah Doss, vice president for Student Affairs; Maigan Wipfli, director of the June Anderson Center, three-time alum Casey Brown, Student Government Association President Michai Mosby, as well as current students Athziry Barajas Aguirre and Logan Purcell.
Join the movement
Launched in 2018, the True Blue Give is a crowdfunding movement driven by MTSU alumni and friends. The annual February campaign allows supporters to make gifts online or via text, creating immediate and lasting change for Blue Raiders students.
