MTSU-UAB game Jan. 30 marks Veterans and Military Appreciation Night

Middle Tennessee men’s basketball wraps up its first month of conference play at home Wednesday, Jan. 30, against UAB and will host its first Blue Raider Military and Veterans Appreciation Night in Murphy Center.

The Blue Raider Ticket Office is offering a complimentary ticket to all active military and veterans with a military ID.

o receive your complimentary ticket, active military and veterans can present a military ID at the Murphy Center Ticket Office on the day of the game. The ticket office will open at 4:30 p.m., and tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.

Pregame events will feature members of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, rappelling into Murphy Center to deliver the game ball.

During the game, there will be a POW seat dedication in remembrance of MTSU soldiers missing in action. Two MTSU students will be awarded an Army ROTC scholarship that evening, and four more students will be officially be sworn into the U.S. Army at halftime.

The Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center has tickets available in Keathley University Center’s Room 124 for student veterans.
