MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University will once again host free Halloween-themed events on campus for trick-or-treaters Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 28-29.

‘True Boo’ football

MTSU Athletics welcomes all costumed ghouls and goblins ages 12 and younger for free admission to the football matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when the Blue Raiders take on the Kennesaw State Owls at Floyd Stadium at 6 p.m. Fans must stop by the box office on game day to claim this special offer.

Party in the Grove will kick off game-day festivities in Walnut Grove, when guitar-heavy rockers Edgehill will take the stage in Walnut Grove at 4 p.m., following the 3:30 p.m. Raider Walk.

Trick-or-treating will take place on the concourse inside Floyd Stadium starting at 5 p.m. through the end of the first quarter. Blue Raider athletic teams, campus partners and sponsors will hand out candy.

Fans can also participate in the Halloween costume and poster-decorating contests. Those participating should check in at any customer service table before the end of the first quarter to be eligible for prizes. Fans can also bring a poster from home or utilize the poster-making station on the concourse near Gate 3.

Concessions — hot dogs, popcorn, candy and sodas — will be available for $2 each during the game. (After all, you don’t want to eat all that candy on an empty stomach.)

MTSU will also be collecting nonperishable food items to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Donation bins will be set up at each entrance gate.

Tickets are available now at GoBlueRaiders.com/Tickets.

Greek Row

Rounding out the Halloween festivities for the week is the much-anticipated Trick or Treat on Greek Row, set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, in front of the sorority houses at Rutherford Boulevard and Alumni Drive.

Children ages 12 and younger can participate in the free trick-or-treating event.

There will be a variety of games for children to play at the houses and lots of candy to grab for little Blue Raiders.

Guests are asked to park for free in the lot across the street and safely access campus via the crosswalk nearby.

The event is sponsored by the MTSU Panhellenic Council with support from MTSU’s sororities and fraternities. The council is MTSU’s largest women’s organization, comprised of six sorority chapters under the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership.
