MTSU’s Dr. Gloria Bonner was all smiles as the line of family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers greeted her Tuesday, April 4, during a retirement reception in her honor at the President’s Residence on Middle Tennessee Boulevard. Bonner officially retired March 1, leaving in her current role as assistant to the president in the Office of University Community Relations. She spent 44 years in education, 32 of which in academic and administrative roles at her alma mater MTSU, including becoming the first African-American dean of an academic unit on the Blue Raider campus.
