Two scholarships for female students at MTSU are accepting applications now for the 2019-20 awards.

The winners of the Ruth Houston Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship and the Butler-Fouts Memorial Graduate Scholarship each will receive $1,000 for the fall 2020 semester.

The deadline to apply is Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.

Nontraditional female undergraduate students age 24 and up who demonstrate academic promise and financial need are eligible for the Houston scholarship.

Applicants must have successfully completed their freshman year at MTSU or be a transfer student who’s successfully completed a minimum of 30 credit hours and is currently enrolled full time.

For the Butler-Fouts scholarship, female graduate students from underrepresented ethnic or racial groups who demonstrate academic promise and financial need are eligible.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled in or accepted into a graduate program at MTSU.

These scholarships, which are renewable each semester, are awarded by the Middle Tennessee Fund for Women and Girls in partnership with the Murfreesboro chapter of the American Association of University Women.
