‘MTSU On the Record’ analyzes bereavement on college campus

The next “MTSU On the Record” radio program examines the ways a college community can deal with the death of one of its own.

Dr. Kris McCusker

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Kris McCusker, history professor and co-founder of the MTSU Working Group on Bereavement, will air from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and www.wmot.org).

You can watch a video snippet of it below

and listen to the entire interview at www.mtsunews.com the day after its Sunday airing.

The group of various MTSU personnel created a brochure with information about how to cope with grieving the loss of a student, faculty member or staffer. You can read the brochure online at http://tinyurl.com/MTBereavementInfo.

In addition, the group assembled a “coaching staff” for faculty, who can then provide support for their students.
