McPhee and nine other graduates were among the first class of honorees into the hall, which recognized prominent alumni in fields that included education, government service, science and humanitarian effort.

“There are countless numbers of outstanding educators and alumni who have walked the corridors of R.M. Bailey Senior High School over the years,” said Jerome Fitzgerald, minister of education, science and technology for The Bahamas, who presided over the ceremony.

“I hope that there are other opportunities to expose the current student body to other revered administrators and graduates of R.M Bailey.”

McPhee said he was “deeply moved” to be recognized by his alma mater.

“It was a profound honor to be recognized by an institution that played such an important role in shaping my life,” McPhee said.
