MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University will be closed Friday, July 4, for the Independence Day national holiday. No classes will be held and all offices will be closed.
Summer session classes will resume Saturday, July 5, at their scheduled times.
All business offices and departments will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 Monday, July 7.

July Fourth closures will include all academic buildings, the Student Union, James Union Building, Cope Administration Building, Keathley University Center, James E. Walker Library, the Student Services and Admissions Center (MT One Stop) and the Health, Wellness and Recreation Center.
The Campus Recreation Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday (indoor pool open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and outdoor pool open from noon to 4 p.m.) and from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 6 (both pools open from noon to 4 p.m.). Visit https://www.mtsu.edu/camprec/hours/ for more.
Walker Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
