MTSU closes May 30 for Memorial Day; summer classes resume May 31

MTSU will be closed Monday, May 30, for the 2022 Memorial Day holiday. All offices will be closed and no summer term classes will be held. 

The university will reopen and summer classes will resume, Tuesday, May 31.

During the holiday weekend, the James E. Walker Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 28, and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 29, but closed Monday.

The Health, Wellness and Recreation Center will be closed May 28-30.

The MTSU Veterans Memorial outside the Tom H. Jackson Building, 628 Alma Mater Drive, will be open to the public to visit during daylight hours all weekend.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday for honoring and mourning U.S. military personnel who have died in the line of duty and is observed annually on the last Monday of May.
