MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Hundreds of prospective students and their families will visit Middle Tennessee State University this fall for special recruiting events.
MTSU staff and administrators are preparing for the upcoming True Blue Preview on Saturday, Sept. 13. Later, one is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1. To register for the free events in advance, go to www.mtsu.edu/rsvp.

Preview day events start at 9 a.m. in the Student Union and end midafternoon.
“We’re so excited to have prospective students and their families on campus for preview day on Sept. 13 and later in the fall on Nov. 1,” said Laurie Witherow, vice provost for enrollment management.

“We believe strongly that when students are on the campus and meet with faculty and advisors, their decision to become Blue Raiders will be made,” she added, with an incentive: MTSU will waive the application fee during preview day application workshops “to help students who want to apply before they leave campus.”
For others, they can apply — without a fee — during the Sept. 15-21 free application week.

True Blue Preview events are a special day for high school and potential transfer students to enjoy the full campus experience. MTSU rolls out the blue carpet for these distinctive events, with top university officials welcoming future Blue Raiders to campus — the best time to explore what it means to be “True Blue.”
Visitors can participate in academic and departmental presentations, receive financial aid and scholarship information and choose from many different special interest sessions that are customized, based on the prospective students’ needs.
The preview day agenda and locations where participating departments will be can be found on the admissions RSVP for special events site.
Student support services, including the MT One Stop for help with financial aid and scholarships, will be available.

During preview day, Witherow will emphasize the upcoming Dec. 1 deadline for prospective students to apply and receive a guaranteed scholarship for qualifiers and for high school juniors to be aware of the 2026 deadline.
MTSU will also offer a spring preview day on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
MTSU offers guided campus tours throughout the spring and fall semesters. Self-guided tours are also available. For information, call 615-898-5670 or email admissions@mtsu.edu.
