June 2020 ‘Out of the Blue’ turns up the heat with No. 1 risk management program, MTSU Write, study-abroad filmmakers

Middle Tennessee State University’s “Out of the Blue” TV magazine show is turning up the heat on MTSU news with our June 2020 edition, featuring discussions on our nationally acclaimed Risk Management and Insurance Program, MTSU Write‘s work with creative thinkers, and study-abroad adventures with film production students. Join us to hear from:

• Dr. Dave Wood, holder of the Martin Chair of Insurance in the Jones College of Business, who explains the growing career opportunities for students in our No. 1-ranked Risk Management and Insurance Program.

MTSU Write director Dr. Jennifer Kates of the Department of English in the College of Liberal Arts, who has the latest update on this from-home mentorship program for writers of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplays and plays.

• Professor Paul Chilsen of the Department of Media Arts in the College of Media and Entertainment, who shares details of his journeys with film production students into the Amazon rainforest of Brazil, leading to projects with indigenous filmmakers that got the attention of the National Geographic Society.
