June ‘Out of the Blue’ features SGA president, new cybersecurity major, Build Blue campaign update [WATCH]

The June edition of the

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In the June edition of “Out of the Blue,” the television magazine program of Middle Tennessee State University, viewers will hear from the reelected Student Government Association president about plans for the coming year; learn about the new cybersecurity management major within the Jones College of Business; and get an update on the Build Blue campaign and aspirations for this next year in the Blue Raider Athletics department.

In this month’s episode with program host Andrew Oppmann, vice president for marketing and communications, viewers will hear from:

• Michai Mosby, a junior public relations major and Student Government Association president, discusses his reelection to a second term leading the student legislative body and his plans for the coming school year to increase student engagement.

• Dr. Nita Brooks, associate dean in the Jennings A. Jones College of Business and professor of information systems and analytics, discusses the new cybersecurity management major in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics and how it will prepare students for in-demand jobs within the tech workforce.

• Lee De Leon, deputy athletics director for Blue Raider Athletics, talks about the latest developments in the Build Blue campaign, anchored by the new three-story, $66 million, 85,000-square-foot Student-Athlete Performance Center under construction on the north end of Floyd Stadium.

“Out of the Blue” is available anytime on the university’s YouTube channel, the True Blue TV channel, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. It also airs on Murfreesboro cable Channel 9 daily at 6 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; NewsChannel5+ at 3:30 p.m. Sundays; and streamed on the MTSU Jazz Network through WMOT.org at 7 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month; and on other cable outlets in Middle Tennessee, so check local listings.
