MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University’s Nancy Prescott, a public history graduate student from Gulf Breeze, Florida, has been named to the 2025 ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge Student Voting Honor Roll, recognizing her outstanding efforts to promote nonpartisan student civic engagement on campus.

Prescott was honored during the ALL IN Awards Day, a national virtual celebration that spotlights students, faculty, staff, university leaders, athletic coaches, partner organizations, and election officials who demonstrate exceptional leadership in encouraging voter participation and civic learning.

“I am incredibly proud to be recognized alongside so many inspiring leaders working to strengthen our democracy,” said Prescott. “Civic engagement is essential, and I’m committed to ensuring every student has the tools and support they need to participate in our democratic process.”

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge supports over 1,020 campuses nationwide in making nonpartisan civic engagement a central part of campus life. The initiative encourages institutions to foster informed and active participation in the democratic process among college students.

“Despite long lines and an increase in restrictive voting laws, college students did not sleep in on Election Day — they were determined to make their voices heard in 2024,” said Jen Domagal-Goldman, executive director of the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge.

“Elections matter, and with 100,000 local elections happening across the country in 2025, ALL IN campuses continue to ensure that every student has the information they need to cast their ballot. The award winners recognized lead by example, making nonpartisan voter participation a core part of campus life.”
