Raider Review – March 16, 2018

Welcome to another edition of Raider Review! Here is a brief rundown of this week’s Blue Raider Athletic news and upcoming events you should watch out for.

Women’ Basketball

  • Lost 69-60 to Ball State in WNIT.
  • 3 Senior’s last game- Abbey Sissom, Jess Luoro, and Rebecca Reuter
  • Coach Insell gives thoughts on the senior class.

Softball

  • Beat Rhode Island 10-1
  • Gretchen Greer, complete game win.
  • 4 players with 2 hits and RBI’s – Burgess, Birdsong, Cushing, Mcgee
  • Head to WKU for the weekend series.

Baseball

  • Beat Austin Peay 9-0 behind a great start from Grant Williams.
  • Got out to a hot start with the bats, 6-0 after the first inning.
  • Head north to play WKU just like the softball team in the 100 Miles of Hate series.

Women’s Tennis

  • Head to Norfolk, Virginia to look for their 5th and 6th wins in a row.
  • Take on Georgetown and 45. Old Dominion.
  • Zana Bernard still undefeated in singles. 9-0.
  • Kim Kermit is 10-2 and has the most singles wins.

Men’s Tennis

  • Hosts 3 CUSA teams this weekend at the Adams Tennis Complex.
  • Currently 3-0 in conference play.
  • Will play ODU, Charlotte, and Florida Atlantic.

Men’s Basketball

  • Thank you for everything, Coach Kermit Davis.
