Knick-knack, run the track, help ’em build a home in ‘See Spot Run’ race

See Spot Run 2018 promo

Human walkers and runners can once again accompany their furry canine companions to help a local family build a home in the 2018 Habitat for Humanity fundraiser set Sunday, April 29, on the MTSU campus.

The 13th annual See Spot Run 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by the MTSU Office of Student Organizations and Service and the MTSU chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity, is slated for 8 a.m. Sunday.

Registration will begin at 6:45 a.m. at Peck Hall. Advance registration will be available for $30 per person until noon Friday, April 27. A group rate for 10 or more participants is available for $25 per person until the Friday deadline.

On race day, the registration fee will be $35.

Registration is available at Runsignup.com or in Room 330 of the Student Union.

T-shirts for all participants and awards for the top age-group finishers are included in the registration fee. All proceeds will support the MTSU Habitat Blitz Build and Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity.

Although participants aren’t required to run or walk with a dog to enter, those who do bring their pets must provide valid rabies tag numbers. Retractable leashes are prohibited.

Chip timing is available for all participants.

A campus parking map is available at http://tinyurl.com/MTSUParkingMap. A map of the race route is available here.
