MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee State University will be closed Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day national holiday. No classes will be held and all offices will be closed.
Summer session classes will resume Monday, July 6, at their scheduled times. All business offices and departments will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6.

July Fourth weekend closures will include all academic buildings, the Student Union, James Union Building, Cope Administration Building, Keathley University Center, James E. Walker Library, the Student Services and Admissions Center (MT One Stop) and the Health, Wellness and Recreation Center. All Aramark/MT Dining locations will also be closed through the weekend.
Walker Library will be closed Friday and Saturday and open from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The next freshman New to Blue orientation after the holiday will be held on Wednesday, July 8, followed by other sessions on July 10, 21, 23 and 30.
