“You will be surprised that some popular dishes you have here actually do not exist in China, like General Tso’s chicken,” Mou said.

Mou said she also will talk about the importance of food in bringing people together in China.

“Like turkey for Thanksgiving, we also have many special dishes for important days,” Mou said.

Mou, who is scheduled to graduate in December, is a participant in a new program from the MTSU Office of International Affairs. As one of the International Student Ambassadors, Mou helps international students become adjusted to both campus culture and the surrounding community.

International Affairs logoAmbassadors also assist with an orientation program and graduation reception, write blog posts to demonstrate their experiences on campus and lead student-focused presentations.
