MTSU staffers Janson, Malebranche named to publication’s ‘40 under 40’ list

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Two Middle Tennessee State University staffers have been named among the “40 under 40” honorees by VIP Murfreesboro magazine.

Kristen Janson, associate director of freshman recruitment at MTSU and an alumna, and Hans Malebranche, associate athletics director for and chief development officer for MTSU Athletics, were recently named to the publication’s latest list of up and coming local professionals.

Janson was recognized for her passion for higher education and her part-time role as a fitness instructor. Janson earned her master’s at MTSU while she worked as a freshman recruiter and has served in a variety of higher ed roles on campus since she arrived in 2011, recently moving into her associate director role.

Malebranche joined MTSU Athletics in 2022, overseeing the daily operations of the Blue Raider Athletics Association, managing the BRAA Board of Directors and overseeing the major gift strategy. In February 2022, the New York native was presented the Rising Star Award from the National Association of Athletic Development Directors.
