“We’ll have a variety of Valentine-theme treats and the dining room will be decorated for the holiday,” said Rachel Hunter, marketing manager for Aramark Collegiate Hospitality Services, which operates the dining facilities on the MTSU campus. “It’s going to be sweet!”

McCallie Dining Hall will welcome over two dozen foodservice associates from college campuses across the region for the Southeast Culinary Council Chef Station Takeover from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.

There will be 21 chefs and six registered dietitians from colleges in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee who will take over the dining room for a culinary adventure.

“Chefs will each be assigned a station to work that day, where they will serve their favorite meals,” Hunter explained. “The dietitians will have the Smoothie Bike out making heart-healthy smoothies and a small micro-farmers market for students to grab fruits and veggies to take with them.”

These special events are included with each meal swipe.

After spring break, MT Dining is partnering with MTSU’s Student Government Association and the Student Affairs Care Team for True-Blue Feeds You meal swipe donation campaign.

“This is a great way students can help their fellow Blue Raiders struggling with food insecurity,” Hunter said. “Students and staff can donate meal swipes to help fellow students in need. All donations go to the food pantry to help fight against food insecurities on campus. Last semester we raised over 2,000 meal swipes.”
