August ‘Out of the Blue’ goes back to campus with student activities, new SGA leader, unique marketing program

The August 2021 edition of Middle Tennessee State University‘s “Out of the Blue” TV magazine show looks ahead to the new 2021-22 academic year with stories on student activities for the fall 2021 semester, the new Student Government Association president, and a unique professional sales program for students in the Department of Marketing.

Join us this month to hear from:

• Dr. Debra Sells, vice president for student affairs and vice provost for enrollment and academic services, who discusses plans for students’ return to campus for fall 2021 classes, which begin Monday, Aug. 23.

• MTSU senior environmental science major Winton Cooper, the 2021-22 Student Government Association president and the first international student in the role, who talks about the SGA’s plans for helping students feel more engaged with campus.

• Entrepreneur Thom Coats, director of the Insurance Group of America Professional Sales Program in the Department of Marketing in MTSU’s Jones College of Business, who explains how the program gives future marketing professionals hands-on experience for their careers.

You can watch “Out of the Blue,” with host Andrew Oppmann, anytime online on MTSU’s YouTube channel and on MTSU’s True Blue TV, airing on Murfreesboro cable Channel 9 daily at 6 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m Central  and on Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV, as well as on NewsChannel5+ at 3:30 p.m. Sundays.
