MTSU’s Student Government Association and the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership recently honored a host of campus leaders for their service during this past pandemic-impacted academic year with a virtual awards ceremony.

Hosted and recorded from the Keathley University Center Theater, the event recognized individual students and student groups, faculty and staff for their efforts in a variety of activities and service efforts such as student government legislation, homecoming, community service and diversity.

The ceremony featured awards from SGA, the Division of Student Affairs, Student Organizations and Service, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Intercultural and Diversity Affairs and the June Anderson Center for Women and Nontraditional Students. The hourlong event also included the inauguration of the 2021-22 SGA Executive Board officers.

“While the pandemic has prevented us from having our typical gathering, we are still grateful to those who have contributed to our growth, development and success during this past year,” said outgoing SGA President Chelseah Moore, referring to the traditional in-person dinner and banquet that was moved to a virtual ceremony due to ongoing university COVID-19 safety protocols.MTSU SGA logo
