MTSU student designers earn multiple ADDY wins

MTSU student designers brought home 11 ADDY Awards — including Best of Show and Judge’s Choice wins — presented by the American Advertising Federation Nashville at the recent Student ADDY Awards Celebration.

“Yield Farming Campaign” won August 2012 graphic design grad Aaron Johnson the Student Best of Show prize — the third consecutive year MTSU students have won the coveted award.

Senior Mandy Haskins’ “ACGA Calendar” received a top Judge’s Choice prize.

Johnson’s “Yield Farming Campaign” also won a student Gold ADDY in the Business-to-Consumer category. Haskins’ ACGA Calendar also received a Gold ADDY in the Direct Marketing category, and her “CCA Field Guide to Nashville Cupcakes” took the gold in the “Brochure, Annual Report” competition.

Alexa Games, a sophomore majoring in graphic design, received two Gold ADDYs: one for her Stationery Package “Identity Package” and one for her “Blue Law Poster Series” campaign.

Freshman Ethan Farmer, another graphic design major, also brought home a Gold ADDY in Mobile Apps for his “Sweet Tooth Field Guide.”

MTSU freshman Anthony Crawford earned a Silver ADDY for his “Style Poster.” Senior graphic design major Taylor Watson received Silver ADDYs for “The Most Crucial Item in Your Closet” (Publication Design, Editorial Spread or Feature) and “Short Order Cook” (Visual, Animation or Special Effects).
